This was our fourth stay over the last ten years, and we left as satisfied as we were the first time. El Ruha Hotel sits in the heart of Urfa, with a unique atmosphere and a great location. Its building combines modern engineering for safety with a rich historical feel. We've known Mr. Ömer at reception since 2012 and always make time to talk with him. He's welcoming and knows Urfa incredibly well. If you want tips on what to see, where to go, and how to experience the city, make sure to visit him at the desk. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Şanlıurfa.

We had a reasonable stay, and the location is great for historic attractions. The hotel seems to have been glamorous once, but it's older now and starting to look tired from lack of upkeep. We needed Google Translate to communicate with the staff in English, which we expected in Turkey. The food was just okay, both at breakfast and dinner. We've had better meals at restaurants and cafes outside, so we'd give the food 3/5. The AC didn't work, and water leaked from the shower cubicle through a gap in the seal. Given the room prices, we wouldn't stay again.

Omar at the concierge made my visit to Şanlıurfa special with his kindness and local knowledge. The hotel itself was spotless, and the central location put Balıklıgöl and the bazaar just steps away. I also loved its quiet elegance, which sits so well with the city's deep history. One small suggestion: the staff could benefit from speaking more foreign languages alongside Kurdish and Turkish.

The staff are sweet and nice, but the service level is subpar. The AC doesn't work, the internet keeps failing intermittently, and there's no alcohol. The five-star status the hotel seems to claim feels bogus. It's really horrible, avoid at all costs.
