No 10 Hotel

We felt really looked after at No 10 Hotel. Alperen was especially kind and warm, and went out of his way to help us with all sorts of things. We had a great stay and truly appreciated his help!

The citrus trees and tables make the courtyard a lovely spot, and breakfast itself was delicious and filling. My only letdown was where breakfast was served: although we were told when booking it would be in the courtyard, it was actually in the rather unpleasant hotel entrance. Our courtyard-facing room was very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable, though on the small side, and the hotel is centrally located.

We could walk across the main highway to find plenty of places to eat and drink, and the location was amazing. The owner met us out front and explained that the place was his childhood home. He showed us old family photos from their home in the St John ruins, which was a neat glimpse into his family history. Service was great, breakfast was amazing, and they even brought glassware so we could enjoy our wine in the garden.

The rooms cost too much for what you get, and the staff's attitude left a lot to be desired. This “hotel” is a house turned into a lodge where Mr Adnan grew up, and that seemed to shape how guests were treated. We were flatly told not to eat in our rooms and to leave trash outside. It felt like a very expensive summer camp. You have to request daily cleaning and fresh towels, and even then the work was careless. Water, coffee, and cups weren't replenished. Breakfast was poor most days, and the women serving it glared when we asked for more. As a business owner, I know reviews can affect small businesses, but I can't overlook the service we received in the tourist off season, when we were one of only two guests. In particular, the owner telling us not to eat in the room we'd paid for was unacceptable. Please teach the staff basic hospitality. I hope no other guest is told they can't eat in their room. We won't be back.
