Richmond Ephesus Resort - All Inclusive

The view was lovely, the meals were delicious, and the staff were warm and a lot of fun. But our anniversary plans were spoiled when a student event brought around 400 students into the hotel and wiped out the peaceful atmosphere we’d come for. There seemed to be some disorganization too, and things felt overly focused on making money. You have to pay extra just to get balls for the billiards table. Our room’s minibar had only two waters and two sodas, there was no toothpaste, and the shampoo dispenser fell off when I tried to use it. I did like the hotel, but those problems would bring my rating down.

We’re guests from Ukraine, and the animation team made our holiday so much more fun with different activities every day. At karaoke there wasn’t a Ukrainian song list, so Azem, Ece and Bora went out of their way to add songs for us. I haven’t come across a team this professional before. Huge thanks to all of them! :))

Dinner was especially good, with loads of choices, from the usual buffet dishes to grilled food outside. I was here on a tour group package and really enjoyed the food. There are mosquitoes around, including outside the hotel, apparently because the land was built on reclaimed marshland. Keep them out of your room and you should be fine.

We spent five pleasant nights here as a family, and the food was generally good. The location is lovely, with palm trees, clean pools, and direct access to a sandy beach with clear water and no rocks. There were plenty of sunbeds, shade, showers and changing cabins by the beach. Our room was clean, with housekeeping and fresh towels every other day. The kids had a playground and mini club, and the evening shows at the amphitheater were fun. Mosquitoes were a real nuisance even with repellent, the garden toilets could be cleaner, and the bar drinks disappointed us. I’d recommend it for families, though I might try a different hotel in Kusadasi next time.
