Last year in Selimiye, we stayed somewhere on the main road, where it was much too hot to sit outside. We hadn't known about this place then. This year we found the Blue Angel, up on a breezy hill but still close to the sea. The view was so good that we ate dinner here every evening and didn't feel like going out. Selimiye center was very expensive for us, even a bagel or pastry was 10 TL, so we had no reason to go there. The hotel was more affordable.

We managed to stay for four days during Eid al-Adha this year. The rooms were spacious and lovely, and the bathroom and toilet were tidy and very clean. The whole hotel was kept clean and neat. Mr. Zafer was attentive from the phone calls and booking through to our arrival. The service then was excellent, and the friendly staff tried to meet our requests. The hotel isn't right on the beach, but it gets a nice breeze and the restaurant has a fantastic view. You can get food and drinks without going elsewhere. The food was delicious, prices reasonable, and the complimentary items generous. We also got to chat with Mr. Zafer on our last day. If they carry out the improvements planned for next year, the place will be even better. I hope the fire disaster can be put out without more lives being lost, and that we can visit these beautiful places again. Thank you, Mr. Zafer and Mr. Cem, for the excellent service, welcoming staff, and good food.
