Tasdelen Selimiye

The sea was wonderfully clear, and having a private pier was lovely. We woke up to a view of the water framed by bougainvillea, and the room was bright, with a good-sized bed and very comfortable pillows. Breakfast was plentiful and very good, including homemade fried dough. Ms. Vildan has made the place feel like a welcoming summer home. It’s right on the beach and just five steps from Selimiye bazaar, cafés, markets, restaurants, and more. Restaurant prices are the same as elsewhere. Marmaris is generally more expensive than other holiday destinations, so there’s not much point looking for somewhere else. Google reviews rate the pizza highly, so we tried it that night and liked it a lot. I usually like exploring new places instead of returning to the same one, but next time I’m in Selimiye, I’ll stay here again without looking anywhere else.

The location is great, and the owners are friendly. The burgers, though, aren’t worth ordering. The buns come straight from the freezer, aren’t thawed properly, and taste stale. Pizza is the one dish made where you can see it being prepared, and it’s quite tasty. Everything else we tried was awful.

Our family tried both the restaurant and the pier while visiting Selimiye. We were very pleased with the staff, the location, and the menu.

We planned to stay one night at Taşdelen Boutique Hotel during our family trip along the South Aegean coast, but the friendly atmosphere and quality service convinced us to extend for another day. It’s in the peaceful village of Selimiye, in Marmaris, close to the sea and surrounded by natural beauty. The setting made for a quiet, restful break. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with tasteful, authentic decor. Mustafa and his wife were professional, warm, and helpful, and did everything they could to make us comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a generous selection made from fresh local produce. We loved our two days there and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it for a peaceful holiday.
