Sunrise Queen Resort & Spa

There was plenty of room by the pool and at the beach, with two seats and free umbrellas provided at both. The food was amazing, and there always seemed to be something to do. Our room was quiet, big enough for us and our baby, and the air conditioning was a real help in the heat. We asked for a cot and got one, and there was still a single bed left empty. The staff were nice and helpful. My one complaint is that people would leave their things on sunbeds, then go back to their rooms to sleep, saving the beds for when they came back in the afternoon.

The beach was clean and sandy, just around 20-30 steps from the resort and pool. There are several pools, a few slides and adults-only areas, so even with the hotel’s size it didn’t feel overwhelming. It was my second trip to Turkey, and I’m sure I’ll be back. The Entertainment Team deserves a big shout-out for bringing such positive energy to the pool and evening activities. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and professionally run, and the staff are helpful. Food and drinks are available 24/7, and the meals were great. The a’la carte staff were wonderful too, and our stay included a special dinner. Everyone was friendly with kids. The spa staff loved having my son come in for a massage, and he absolutely loved it. The family rooms are a pretty typical Turkish experience, but I didn’t come here to sit in a room. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return next year.

The food at the restaurants was tasty, with lots of variety, and there was something new to try at every meal. Staff in the restaurants and beach bars were friendly and polite. Our room was cleaned every day, though the shower drain clogged after every bath. The resort is right by the beach, so the view from our room was priceless. The transfer from Antalya airport took around an hour.

The food was plentiful and delicious, with lots of sweets, fish, meat and vegetables to choose from. The rocks in the water are easy to avoid. The hotel has been renovated and the rooms were clean and updated, but the work was still ongoing and unfinished. We did find some mold on the bathroom ceiling. I wouldn’t call this a five-star hotel; it feels closer to three stars, maybe four. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible either. It deserves a chance, and I’d probably come back someday.
