İz Flower Side Beach Hotel

The evening shows and animation team were top-notch, and the food was excellent, with lots of variety and plenty of it. The sandy beach had many sunbeds, and the man looking after them deserves praise. Our room was small, but we barely spent time in it, so that was fine. I came away positive overall, so 4/5. Still, the hotel is clearly geared toward Germans, which the travel agency should have mentioned. Most staff don't speak English, not even numbers, but seem very comfortable in German. Older waiters spent much of their time rushing to German tables where they expected tips, instead of serving everyone. The all-inclusive drinks selection was weaker than at other hotels we've visited. It's called a non-smoking hotel, yet there are ashtrays everywhere and people smoke on balconies, terraces, during meals, by the pool, at the bar, and on the beach. The no-smoking signs are a joke. Calling it family-friendly seems bold when kids are around cigarette smoke constantly. A lot of our holiday was really disgusting because of that.

We stayed for 11 days in mid-June. The pools were big and clean, the beach was lovely and clean, and the walk into the sea was very gradual. The beach staff, especially Mehmet, were very kind and friendly. Wi-Fi reached throughout the hotel and even down to the beach. The food had a good selection, but it stopped changing after a few days, and we got tired of figuring out what to eat. The hotel seems especially set up for German guests. Staff speak German very well, while not everyone could speak English, which didn't feel very good or professional. The beach bar, vitamin bar, pool, and other facilities all closed too early for us. The all-inclusive package also had repetitive food and no cocktails like Cuba libre or Mojito. The hotel could be much better, but next time I'll choose another one. There are hotels with better service for the same price.

The pool area is beautiful, the Mediterranean Sea is lovely with soft sand and plenty of places to lie down, and the service staff are very gentle. The food is tasty too. The hotel looks good, and I'm sure many rooms are beautiful. It could have been worth 4-5 stars, but what happened at reception ruined it for us. After a long trip with plane and shuttle delays, we arrived exhausted. We had booked rooms with balconies and a sea view, and our provider check24 said our two parties would get rooms next to each other because we had small children. Instead, we were put at the back of the hotel, with maybe 1% of the view being sea, and the rooms were lousy. We didn't get rooms back to back either. The reception staff just laughed at us. Really annoying. Our rooms were right above the service street, where people worked late at night and early in the morning. We could hear everything, and our child couldn't sleep. There were other charges too: only one cocktail was included in all-inclusive, changing towels cost extra, and some restaurant items had to be paid for separately. What kind of all-inclusive is that? I'm sorry to post this because the hotel looks nice, but it seems to be the manager's fault. Taking advantage of our situation, no words.

Everything worked out well, from the room and food to the pools, beach, and staff. The hotel is lovely, and there's mainly a shopping street just behind it, so the location is ideal. We'll come back again.
