Era House

The beach is an easy ten-minute walk away, and the house is tucked into a peaceful natural setting that made it easy to unwind. Inside, it was cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully furnished, with everything we needed, including air conditioning. Our hostess, Ms. Ayşe, was especially kind and helpful, and even speaks German. We felt looked after from the start and would gladly stay here again.

We only had three nights with Ayşe at Era House, called Felix, at the end of September, which felt far too short for a place this suited to switching off. Our terrace was huge and had furniture for whatever we needed. From there we could see an almond grove and the sea beyond, with the tiny houses set in a quiet spot. It felt like a kind of luxury camping, and the amenities were first-class, especially the air conditioning and the capsule coffee machine. Nature lovers will feel at home here. Cats sometimes stop by, as they do around the Turkish coast, since you're right among unspoiled nature. We enjoyed our stay all the same, and with a little thought those situations are easy to handle. Ayşe was a fantastic host, always available for questions and full of useful tips. As tourists, we really appreciated that help.

After a 1 hour and 20 minute drive from central Marmaris on winding, dusty gravel roads, we reached Söğüt village at night. We'd arranged the reservation verbally with the hotel owner by phone, but the location shown on the map wasn't there. We called three times at different intervals to ask where to go and got no answer. Don't choose businesses that mislead people and fail to keep their agreements.

The garden and terrace were lovely places to sit, and the thoughtful design made the whole property feel special. This was easily the most beautiful place we stayed in Türkiye. Ayşe made our holiday much more enjoyable with her attentive, high-quality service and helpful advice, which made our time more productive. She's sweet, easy to talk to, and a fellow travel enthusiast who understood us well. It was a pleasure meeting her, and we'd love to return. With love.
