The homemade jams and honey at breakfast are delicious, and the breakfast itself has been stunning. I also love hearing the ezan every morning. It’s something else to wake up to. I’ve fallen for this beautifully designed place. Calling it a hotel doesn’t quite fit, since it feels so homely. From the moment I stepped into the konak, the trees, plants, outdoor decor, and historical ornaments made me feel transported somewhere else. And of course, Limon, the dog, is the boss of the ground. As a history fanatic, I’ve noticed how much thought went into every corner and tiny detail. I’ve taken photos and videos already, and with three more days here, I’m sure I’ll take many more as I come and go. The staff give the place a family feel, which is perfect for me. Elif has been so sweet and a gem since I arrived. I feel safe, comfortable, and looked after, and I’ll definitely return on future trips to Tarsus. The only real issue was the shower, which had no warm water in the morning. Otherwise, this was a lovely place to stay. It’s an old town house renovated with traditional furniture, and breakfast was very good, served outside in the little courtyard. The location makes it easy to explore Tarsus on foot. You can park right by the building, and Wi-Fi worked throughout the property with a good signal. We paid 190 lire for one night, and I’d stay here again.

I live nearby, and the cafe is close to several historical sites. The food is simple and tasty. There’s indoor dining where events seem to be held, and on sunny days I’ve enjoyed visiting the outdoor cafe and its garden decor.

The staff are friendly and the service is good. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, with each one reflecting a different part of Ottoman style. The hotel sits in the city center, close to historical places, in a 200-year-old building restored as a boutique hotel.
