We spent three nights at Ramada by Wyndham Tekirdağ expecting a real five-star stay, but it fell far short. I wouldn’t return, and could only recommend it to someone expecting a three-star place at a three-star price. The food was consistently below what you’d expect from a hotel claiming five stars. Breakfast and dinner buffets were repetitive and uninspiring, with especially poor desserts. In three days, there wasn’t a single traditional Turkish dessert such as baklava. The New Year’s Eve dinner was shockingly underwhelming: no fresh salads, just a few spreads, a low-quality sausage pastry served from shared trays, chicken with mashed potatoes, and a dry red-colored cake. Calling it a festive celebration would be misleading. Communication made problems harder to sort out. Most staff didn’t speak English, and maybe one in five had only beginner-level English. The rooms had no robes, and neither did the spa. At one point the spa ran out of towels because they were “still being washed.” The spa itself was minimal, with a pool, sauna, cool jacuzzi, hammam room, and gym, while most of its space was just massage rooms. There was no internet in the rooms, and the lobby Wi-Fi was nearly unusable. Lobby speed tests showed 0.37 Mbps download and 3.53 Mbps upload. I reported it several times, but nothing changed during our entire three-day stay. When we came back from the spa, the bathroom smelled strongly of cigarette smoke coming through the ventilation. On December 31st, we had to leave the balcony open and freeze the room to clear the smell. There was no drying rack for wet swimwear, and staff didn’t provide one when asked.

The shower swung between boiling hot and cold water. The rooms badly need maintenance, and nothing seems to work. The air-conditioning panel was broken. In the next room, the buttons registered only with a lot of force, and temperature control didn’t work. After a whole night of fiddling and sleeping under two blankets, I set it to 26 degrees at 3am. By 7am it had finally warmed to an acceptable 21 degrees. Omg, it’s been a while since I stayed in such a dumpster.

Amazing hotel, one of the best places I’ve stayed. I travel all over Europe, so you must visit this place. Bali massage is also the best option for a good relax.

The food was quite nice overall, and I think the hotel deserves five stars. We had chicken with mashed potatoes, but the chicken was a bit hard and dry, so it was difficult to finish the dish. The food could be better if they just didn’t overcook it.

We drove from Thessaloniki to Istanbul and this was just right for a night’s stop to break up the trip. The staff and facilities were very nice, and parking was easy. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it worked very well for what we needed.
