Alya Sierra Bodrum

We booked the ultra deluxe villa off-season and got warm weather for a lower price. The pool isn't heated, but with temperatures around 27-30 degrees C, it felt fine once we'd adjusted for about 30-60 seconds. It was large and screened well enough that my wife could swim without hijab and feel comfortable. A few small sections, around 5% of the villa, have lower screens where a very nosy person might see in, though we never had that problem and the area is nearly always empty. It was reassuring to stay among other Muslims with halal-conscious staff, more comfortable for us than a resort elsewhere in Bodrum. The villa is modern and spacious, with a good family kitchen, clean, nicely designed rooms, and a fully private sauna and jacuzzi. We chose half-board, which meant generous, decent breakfast and dinner. For lunch we took a quick taxi into Bodrum city or ordered from room service, at a cost. A great private stay for halal couples.

The building could use renovation and general upkeep. What made our stay memorable was receptionist Bahiya, who was so kind, professional, and helpful, and took care of everything we needed.

There is a private pool and complete privacy in this great villa. Staff were good, especially the young English-speaking woman. They brought free fruit and water each day. Breakfast was good, lunch was okay. The villa needs some upkeep, and the jacuzzi needs a heater.

We had a really good time at the resort, and the restaurant team deserve a lot of praise. My family and I especially want to thank the receptionist, Kawather. She greeted us warmly, was kind and attentive, checked whether we needed anything, and was quick whenever we asked for help. We genuinely enjoyed our stay. Big thanks to everyone.
