Casa dell'Arte Hotel of Arts & Leisure

We stayed here last year and came back, but the drop in quality this time was so big that we may not return. Even though we booked the most expensive suite, it was badly aged and poorly maintained, with lights that didn't work and drains that weren't working properly. The room was tidy and clean, but its presentation didn't match the photos or what you'd expect at that price. The minibar products were far too expensive for their quality. The TV service was very limited, without even basic paid channels, and felt more like a hostel than a suite. Service was poor from arrival to departure, despite our good experience last year. Reception staff didn't seem professional. When the room was ready, someone walked us over but handed us our small carry-on luggage to carry ourselves instead of taking it to the suite ahead of time. They also rented the beach and restaurant to a third-party operator and clearly weren't communicating well. It felt like staying in an overpriced hostel without a beachfront, then dealing with a separate business whenever we went outside. While waiting for our room, we ordered cold coffees but were given random drinks, and at checkout they tried to charge us for them. Checkout was another mess. We were held up over 10-15 euros, and when I said the charge wasn't ours, they made us wait for the beachfront staff to come and sort it out. It turned out they were trying to bill us for previous guests' room charges. It's sad to see a good place and service decline. Management asked whether we enjoyed the stay but seemed unaware of the problems. Given all this, I'm lowering my rating drastically and would definitely suggest spending your money elsewhere, where you'll get better value.

I was meant to travel solo to this hotel in June 2024, but unforeseen circumstances forced me to cancel the whole trip. I contacted customer service straight away and gave evidence of the situation to a woman named Ziya. Their response was rude and dismissive, which really disappointed me. I asked to move my booking to later in the year, but the new dates would have cost at least twice as much. That seemed unreasonable when the hotel wouldn't offer a refund for any reason. I had to give up the entire stay and got no refund or credit. I expected more understanding and cooperation. It might have been a lovely stay, but after such poor customer service, I wouldn't feel comfortable booking with this hotel again.

Casa dell‘arte in Bodrum was a friendly, pleasant place for a few days. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there's a private beach with all facilities. It also has a new restaurant called Cotto sul Mare. We didn't get to try it, since friends living in Bodrum invited us to dinner on both nights, but the beautiful seaside setting makes me want to recommend it. The Casa dell’arte employees were available whenever we had questions. Not everyone spoke English, so we had a few language difficulties, but we managed. Thanks, and see you soon. I'd choose Casa dell’Arte again, also for its amazing interior architecture.

The pizzas were a real highlight, and the water, service, and setting at Casa dell'Arte were all lovely too. Mr. Ahmet Bora made us feel right at home. We had such a good time at the beach that we’ll keep coming back whenever we’re in Bodrum.
