Getting to the center was easy, with a minibus stop about a five-minute walk away. We also liked the pier for swimming and relaxing, the sea view from our room, the decent breakfast, and the attentive staff. Cansu hanım deserves a special thank you for being so friendly and helpful. It's a small, fairly new hotel in a good location, but it felt like staff were still figuring things out. They often had to check prices and what was included, then discuss orders among themselves, which made it hard to feel confident about the information. We weren't on an all-inclusive plan, but for those who are, some items such as Turkish coffee and certain drinks aren't included. At night, loud music from the neighboring resort went on until midnight and made resting difficult. Loud Turkish pop was also played early one morning by the pool right in front of the rooms. After we complained it didn't happen again, but it gave the impression that decisions were made on the spot. Management needs clearer rules and better planning. The room itself was in rough shape despite the hotel being new: the balcony door handle was broken, and the old air conditioner didn't work properly and caused electrical problems, so we avoided using it. On our last day the sea was too dirty to swim in, with tiny bits, bread, and green salad floating on the surface. That's not the hotel's fault. We had a nice time, but some of these issues could be addressed if management paid attention.

The beach was beautiful and very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, though the hotel is a little away from the main shops. The food was okay but could be improved. All in all, we had a good experience and plan to return to the same hotel in September. The manager promised improvements, so I hope to see them. The views across the grounds and out to sea are the main reason I'd make the trip back to Trendlife Hotel. Set in sleepy Torba in the Bodrum province of Turkey, it feels like a real find. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, though the door could use better locks. The staff were polite, professional, spoke English, and were quick to help, including arranging a taxi. You can get food or drinks at the pool or beach, and the restaurant has a good selection. The team will even try to make a drink you ask for. Breakfast included Turkish jams, jellies and marmalade, along with olives, yogurt, fresh fruit and vegetables, plus orange juice, coffee, or Turkish tea. There was a barbecue area near the pool that looked great, but it was closed while the hotel was being remodeled. One annoying thing: the bathroom light works on motion, but doesn't detect you in the shower, so it goes dark unless someone opens the door. For seafood, we went to Hadi Balik Bistro Bodrum at the Bodrum marina. It didn't feel like a tourist trap, the food was good and reasonably priced, and the fish soup is worth trying. Yes, I'd recommend the hotel and return.
