Hotel Grand Efe

The hammam and massages were the best parts for me. If you're happy to spend the day by the pool doing nothing, the hotel may suit you, but it's far from any town and there aren't attractions within 50 km. Food choices were limited, served during limited windows, and some items weren't restocked. The disco makes it hard to sleep on the first floor, and the young, inexperienced staff didn't add much to the experience. For me, it was mediocre overall. I'd pay a bit more for a real 4-5 star experience.

Waiting 40 minutes in line to get food is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 4 stars. The dining experience is the main reason it doesn't live up to that rating, and I can't even call it a restaurant. Fruit choices were extremely limited too: watermelon and melon, with maybe one extra option such as a plum or an orange.

The entertainment team were amazing, and I loved the bar at night and all the shows. The slides and baby pool were good too, so it works really well for kids. The pool area was quite dirty, though, with sweeping only done at night, so expect dirty feet and loungers during the day. People reserve chairs with towels at 5am and then don't turn up for half the day. There should be a rule to remove towels if nobody comes back after an hour or two. Some workers were rude, and it was only okay for what I paid. There's a lot going on, so it's not great if you're looking to relax. The taxi to kusadasi cost 90 up and back.

We stayed for a week in June 2024, and the hotel wasn't crowded, so it was easy to find loungers. The clean rooms, helpful staff, good car park, and junior suite they offered for our family were all a plus. Food was okay. There was no entertainment except at night, and the lack of loud poolside music was a big plus for us. The alcohol seemed like it might not contain alcohol :). The sea was nothing special, but we'd come back.
