The room was basic but felt homely, and the cleaning ladies were so kind. Staff were wonderful, breakfast was funny but usually enjoyable, and it’s near Trabzon city centre. The big issue came when we tried to pay by card after booking online. They put on a show that our cards had been declined, even though we tried four different Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards. Our banks confirmed the hotel hadn’t even tried to take payment. It felt like they were forcing us to pay cash. You’ve been warned.

It’s very close to the city center, but the room only had one electricity socket. The shower didn’t have hot water, and the AC wouldn’t change temperature.
