Sera Lake Center Hotel

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of tasty choices and good coffee, and the stay felt like good value. The staff were friendly, quick to respond, and did their best to understand us despite limited English. The manager welcomed us at check-in and suggested nearby local restaurants, which we appreciated. Our room was spacious, though the bathroom was on the small side. The hotel was spotless and felt brand new, and my husband and I were very comfortable there.

Mustafa, the kind security guard, tried to help, and the staff did help us park. Those were the only bright spots in a dreadful stay. We booked one night because of the strong reviews, but room 2206 was filthy: stained, damp used towels, sheets with hair and blood spots, dust everywhere, and dirty bathroom walls. They said the hotel was full and refused to move us. We couldn’t sleep until 4 a.m. and missed the breakfast we’d already paid for. For a supposed 4-star hotel charging over 200 euros, this was the dirtiest place we’ve ever stayed. Avoid it.

We used this practical hotel as a base for exploring the area in our own car. Getting there from the airport is an easy, short drive along the D010, and there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The room was very clean, breakfast was a good Turkish spread, and the spa had long opening hours. Highly recommended 👍🏾

Being able to enjoy quiet Akçaabat while still having easy access to lively central Trabzon made the location just right for us. We spent 15 days at Sera Lake Center Hotel with my husband, our two young children, and my parents after a difficult year, and it gave us the break we needed. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable for a family, and the whole place had a pleasant feel. What made the stay special was how cared for we felt. Ms. Emine Çakır gave us real peace of mind, especially when we needed help with a hospital visit. With young kids and elderly parents, knowing we could count on her, even in an emergency, meant a lot. Meltem was always smiling, kind, and attentive in the restaurant, and the rest of the team made us feel at home too. We left with lasting memories and a feeling that we’d found a home away from home. ❤️
