That beautiful view of Turunç is the only reason I’m giving this one star. We rented room 19 for a four-day family holiday, and honestly, we were lucky to get out alive. There was an electrical leak in the bathroom. My father’s an electrician, so we spotted it early and got the landlord to fix it before anyone was hurt. Getting to the hotel was a problem either way. One route meant climbing 200 steps in the heat because the elevator wasn’t working. The other was a dirt road under construction. Inside the room, there were cobwebs too. The landlord kept bothering us and called to ask us to change our review after seeing it. When we didn’t, he made remarks aimed at us. He was also rude about us leaving the place dirty because we hadn’t used the dishwasher, despite charging very high cleaning fees. Then he said we’d left it very clean when we checked out :). After the electrical issue, his apology was to offer a boat trip normally costing 1500 TL per person for 1000 TL, as if our lives were worth 500 TL. Truly tragicomic. It just isn’t worth what you pay :)

We paid a lot for cleaning, yet there were cobwebs everywhere. The cleaning needs to be done properly. The place is terrible, and I’d never recommend suite number 19. Right from arrival, things went wrong. It’s a 10-story building with a broken elevator, so we hauled all our belongings by hand and had to enter the suite through a construction site. Part of it is visible in the picture. The worst thing was the electrical leak in the building. We were getting shocked wherever we touched in the bathroom, and we even showered there. The water heater had an electrical leak. Unbelievable. The landlord claimed he’d done the grounding himself, seemingly just for show. He should learn to do the job properly. We could have died from an electric shock during our holiday, and later found out the whole building had an electrical leak. Then, as if mocking us, the landlord offered a tour with a 500 lira discount. A human life isn’t that cheap, Mr. Kemal :) He kept calling us and coming to our door from the moment we arrived, disturbing us for ridiculous reasons. We came on holiday, not to bring you an extra pasta strainer. When we left the house, he called straight away to say he hadn’t seen the towels. Check your own house before calling. Were we supposed to steal your towels? We washed and hung them up, and left them there, you rude person. We had guests who left at night. Early the next morning, the landlord came to our door saying there were eight people staying. Somehow, the camera showed people entering but not leaving. That’s just rude. If one extra person had stayed, we’d have paid you 5000 lira. Why would we put up with all this otherwise? If you want to run a business and make money, learn how to give decent service first :)

Everything is finished, the view is excellent, and the elevator has been serviced and is working. A wonderful place that I definitely recommend.
