Utopia Cave Cappadocia

We spent two nights here, about a 10 minute drive from Göreme. The cave room was beautiful and had a distinctive, authentic feel. There are communal spaces and terraces with spectacular mountain views, plus a small, handy gym and a full spa with a pool, dry and steam saunas, and a Turkish bath. The staff were delightful and always willing to help. Reception was easy to reach through WhatsApp and available 24 hours a day. A very pleasant stay, and we'd absolutely recommend it.

Karolin was exceptionally helpful, arranging tours and transfers and checking that our room suited us. She even went out of her way to get a cake for my mom's birthday, which was so kind. That attention to detail made a difference throughout our stay at Utopia Cave. The hotel is just outside the main city of Goreme, but easy to get to. The rooms look stunning and give you a real cave experience. Breakfast is complimentary and amazing, and there's a cafe bar open late. The spa is open every day, with the pool, sauna, steam room and fitness center free to use. Massages and other extra services cost more, but the spa was delightful after full days exploring Cappadocia. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Beds and pillows were super comfortable, and heated bathroom floors were a lovely touch on cold days. There's a shopping and restaurant center about an 8 minute walk away. I highly recommend staying here in Cappadocia, you won't regret it.

We didn't like the breakfast at all, and the woman there was very rude. The restaurant food was bad too. I had to ask 3-4 times for housekeeping, and they came after 1 hour 30 minutes. Towels were changed only twice in 5 days. The best place and service were only at the bistro cafe. I'm giving a star just for some of the staff.

The meals stayed with us for days, they were that tasty. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The hotel has a lovely village setting, and it's easy to get to Urgup, Goreme, and many other historical sites. If you're lucky, balloons pass overhead during breakfast. Finding your way to the room takes some effort, with all the labyrinth-like paths, but the place is relaxing, hospitable, and comfortable. The top terrace has a great morning view, and sitting there in the sunshine with tea and a drink was wonderful.
