If you want a quiet holiday away from shops and nightlife, this place worked really well for us. The landlords live next door and are lovely people, and we loved the dogs and cats. Just come by car, since getting groceries without one would be difficult. The house is traditional but comfortable, with four bedrooms. Two have their own bathrooms, while the other two share a third. The kitchen has nearly everything you might need, and there’s a washing machine and dishwasher too. Outside, there’s plenty of nature, great mountain views, and a pool that’s lovely for relaxing and sunbathing.

We’ve stayed at Dikençik twice over the past few years, and both times it was lovely. The two stone character houses sit in beautiful surroundings, and the place is run with care for the environment. Owners Ayse and Çengiz are among the kindest people we’ve met. They’re modest, personal and welcoming, and somehow know when you could use a coffee, a drink, or a logfile on a chilly October evening. Thanks for another lovely stay.
