Princess Artemisia Hotel

The only thing going for this place is its good beach and seafront location. You can visit the beach without staying here. We booked four nights but left after two because we couldn’t stand the room conditions. The owner agreed to refund the unused two nights, but we still had to pay an extra 600 euros for another hotel booked at the last minute with same-day check-in. The rooms looked nothing like the photos. Our sheets and pillowcases were dirty, the AC was very noisy, water pressure was low, and one room had no hot water. The shower enclosure was broken with glass everywhere, which felt very unsafe. There were no phones in the rooms, so every request meant walking to reception or calling on a mobile. If you don’t have a Turkish line, international calls will cost a fortune. Apart from the owner, nobody spoke English. They kept moving us between rooms to look for a better one, but they were all the same. At 2 am, we struggled to open a room door because its lock was broken, and there was no spare key. Staff promised to fix our problems but didn’t. They said no rooms were available for a move, although rooms were listed and bookable online everywhere.

The location was okay, but the rooms were really old and too small for what we paid. When we came back the next day, there were no curtains and no shampoo in the toilets.

This was my second visit to Bodrum, and although this hotel had fewer services than the previous one, I still had a comfortable and special stay. Some basic services were missing, as I knew they would be, but the staff treated us like hotel guests and were cooperative throughout. The room was dirty, with broken glass in the toilet, dirty pillows, and an AC that made a lot of noise. There was no Wi-Fi anywhere on the property, and the water was cut off all night while loud repair work went on. The curtains barely blocked the sunlight, so we used pillows and towels to cover the light. Breakfast was poor too. The manager offered no compensation for ruining our vacation and only refunded the nights we didn’t stay. Seriously, don’t consider this place.
