The calm, island feel was one of my favorite parts of staying at Manta Lounge. From the pool or the balcony, the setting was peaceful, with tropical plants along the paths and turquoise water in view. My room was cleaned every day and felt fresh and cool when I came back from the sun. The staff were so warm and attentive, they made me feel like family. With the pool facing the beach and such beautiful grounds, this getaway was a dream.

We were the only guests while we were there, and the hotel felt completely lacking in atmosphere. It was comfortable enough, and the staff were amazing. Since it’s government-owned and newly refurbished, I expected something different, but we ended up going to the nearby Blue Waters hotel and Finz restaurant for company and the kind of music we like. The scuba centre next door was incredible, and it has guest rooms too. I wish I’d done better research first.

Paige and Rasheda deserve a special thank you for going out of their way to make our visit memorable. Everyone we met was warm and accommodating, and staying at Manta Lodge felt more like being with family than at a hotel. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The property was modern and well kept, which helped make it relaxing. We really enjoyed our time in Speyside and will be back.

The sea view from my room was gorgeous, and over five nights I loved waking up to the birds calling. The hotel, its facilities, and its location all lived up to what I was hoping for when I researched places for some end-of-year downtime in Speyside, Tobago. The staff were friendly and made an effort to keep my stay enjoyable. I’d recommend Manta Lodge if you’re looking to relax and unwind.
