Chulu Manor Hotel

The owner was incredibly hospitable. I stayed just before Lunar New Year, and every day she checked whether we’d be able to find any restaurants still open. The price is reasonable, and it’s within walking distance of Chulu Farm. I’ve stayed at plenty of small hotels around Taiwan, and this one is right up there. The hotel and rooms were spotless, tidy, and extremely well maintained. It beats much pricier hotels in Taitung, and staying here would make for a very comfortable vacation. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taitung.

The landlady is friendly and talented, and the rooms are comfortable. From the moment you step into the lobby, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. I’d definitely come back if I get the chance. Recommended.

The view is beautiful and the place is very clean. But sound carries badly, the pillows are too high, and the wind is really loud. I could clearly hear the door across the street closing.

The owner is very particular about things. Our room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was delicious. The coffee was freshly ground and poured.
