Recently opened lodge in a scenic spot, away from the city buzz with crisp, fresh air and lots of tasty local Taiwanese food nearby. The self-service check-in was simple and excellent. The rooms were perfect, and with two main attractions around, I’d definitely come back. :)

The bed was comfortable, not too soft or firm, and the pillow height felt just right, so it was easy to sleep and relax there. I booked a double room, which was spacious. They provided towels and shower gel, plus small drinks and cookies in the room, and there was a water dispenser outside. Disposable toiletries weren’t provided. Getting in with the keypad lock was convenient. Parking is limited, so book ahead through Line. If there are no spaces left, you can park outside. Overall, I’d recommend it.

The rooms have a minimalist look with cool, clean colors, and the location is a little out of the way, which makes it quiet with greenery and nice views. This is self-service accommodation, and you need to add them on Line to book. Reserve well ahead to make booking smoother, especially since parking is limited. There are paid parking spaces nearby too, around $20 per hour with a $60 daily maximum.

Changhua Huasu Hostel feels quiet and uncluttered, with gray textured walls, wood floors, and dark metal details giving the room a consistent, restrained look. The bed, desk, coat rack, and luggage area each have their place, so it’s easy to settle in. There’s plenty of room to move around the bed, and the desk is far enough from the sleeping area that the space doesn’t feel cramped. Soft evening lighting adds to the calm, and the bed and desk were clean and tidy. The practical basics are covered: a small fridge, coat rack, desk, power outlets, and handy storage. The bathroom is simpler than the main room, but clean and functional. Changhua Hua Su Hotel focuses on space, quiet, and an efficient stay. It would suit a short visit, a business trip, or travel by car, especially if you like minimalist rooms and a restful atmosphere.

The room had comfortable bedding, dependable hot water, and air conditioning that could heat as well as cool. The toiletries were the hotel’s own brand. The deluxe double had good natural light and a well-balanced layout, and I liked its modern industrial design. Set on the mountainside of Bagua Mountain, the hotel has a contemporary feel. Each floor has a water dispenser and free tea and coffee bags, and changing into slippers after leaving the elevator gives it a homey touch. The official Line account was quick to respond, with clear check-in directions and information about nearby attractions. If you drive, parking can be reserved, and security staff guide you at the entrance. The shopping area with food is about 800 meters to 1 kilometer away for anyone who likes walking, though the steep slope makes it a workout. My stay was good value for the price and suited tourists, business travelers, or a short visit. The windows seal well, but soundproofing is still a little lacking. You can hear the nearby school bell and playground even outside school hours, and vehicles going uphill add noise because of the steep slope. Earplugs are provided in the room, though I didn’t need them that day.
