The rooms were excellent, and everything was clean and well kept. This is a simple, cozy guesthouse above a 7-Eleven, with a well-maintained motorcycle.

You can look out at the harbor from the balcony, and everyday needs are easy to take care of nearby. The room has heating, and the bathroom setup is especially suitable for Muslim guests, with a handheld bidet spray beside the toilet. The homestay itself is bright, tidy, and cozy. The 7-Eleven downstairs is also owned by the owner.

I booked Berkshire for one night in Qimei so I could see the stars. There weren't many guesthouses left on the island, and most were nearly full, so I picked a room that looked less appealing than the others, figuring one night would be fine. I ended up loving the place. It's near the port, beside a 7-Eleven, and close to the famous Ah-Zhen Ice Cream shop. The stay came with a scooter and a drink voucher for 7-Eleven. I'd stay at Berkshire again, and spending a night in Qimei is lovely once the tourists have gone and things get quiet. The room looked like the photos, with the same color scheme and vintage stickers on the walls. It wasn't the most stylish, but it was very clean. The housekeeper had switched on the air conditioning before we arrived, which felt wonderful in the heat. The room had a fresh minty smell, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet with steady hot water. The bed was comfortably firm. The owner was thoughtful and helped us with the booking, sharing all the information we needed. Downstairs, the 7-Eleven shopping mall made things convenient, while the location still felt quiet. I had a really pleasant time in Qimei, and it changed my mind about not wanting to stay overnight.
