The tea theme runs through this distinctive hotel group’s different properties around Taiwan, and this one has a cosy, attractive entrance. We arrived before the 4 pm check-in and waited in the comfortable lobby. At check-in they served me a refreshing cup of red tea grown in Alishan. Breakfast costs extra and was very good. You choose a set meal, vegetarian or otherwise, then add items from the buffet. The room was well appointed, and I liked having a tub with tea essence for an evening soak. Staff were thoughtful and brought an extra pillow when I asked. Parking is free in lots next door and farther down the street, with other lots available if those fill up. They’ll also help take care of a traffic police ticket. I’d come back when staying in Chiayi.

Ricky at reception was incredibly friendly throughout our visit. After chatting about our vacation, he told us about local attractions, then helped when we wanted to check whether the Lobby shop had more souvenir varieties in stock. The whole interaction felt warm. The Lobby design is gorgeous, and the Tea theme suits Chiayi so well. I’d recommend this place to friends and family, and it’ll be my first choice next time I visit Chiayi.

The Lobby and reception are beautifully designed, and the room was comfortable with a really nice tub. Highly recommend.

The pool and the hotel’s creative feel are what keep bringing me back, along with the quality throughout. I’ve stayed several times and plan to return. The rooms are great, though the curtains let in some sunrise, so an eye mask might be useful to bring or offer guests.
