Water backs up quickly in the shower because the drain is clogged. The bathroom floor didn’t look clean either.

I stayed in 2018. The staff were lovely and helpful, especially the young woman working mornings. They let us leave our luggage early before check-in, which was convenient. There were plenty of food options close by, and the room was very spacious, with a comfy bed, a fantastic shower, and the best Wi-Fi we had in Taiwan. Chiayi Station is easy to reach from here, making it handy for the Alishan Mountain Railway or Alishan Bus. The one issue was a slight cigarette smell coming through the bathroom extractor.

There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and the hotel has private underground parking. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, modern, bright, and cozy. The Chinese tourist groups staying there were VERY LOUD. Breakfast was poor, with only Chinese dishes, and everything was cold. I wouldn’t recommend it for families with kids.

The front desk staff seemed overworked, though they were generally helpful. The bathroom was grimy and there were barely any amenities. Breakfast was awful, probably what death-row prisoners get. Maybe this suits business travelers who just need a bed for the night. It’s in a dimly lit building with other tenants, including what seemed like a cram school, and the hotel is poorly maintained. Skip it if you can.
