We had plenty to do at the guesthouse, even when heavy rain made going out less appealing. There are small toys, an electric mahjong table and a karaoke room, so adults and kids both had fun. The kitchen is fully equipped, with capsule coffee, drinks and snacks. The place was clean, with complete facilities, and the host was friendly and helpful. Self-check-in made our arrival time flexible. There are plenty of good places to eat within a 3-5 minute drive, including barbecue, crispy scallion pancakes and fried chicken, all tasty and convenient. If you’re planning a trip to Chiayi, this guesthouse is definitely my top choice!

For our family trip to Chiayi, my sister’s family and I stayed at Libai. The owner was very friendly and provided great service. We never met in person, but the official Line account replied promptly and quickly sorted out any problems we had. The space was comfortable, clean and well planned. They even left drinks and cookies in the fridge, which was so thoughtful. It was my first time in a guesthouse with drinks and a coffee machine. Such quality! I highly recommend Libai Guesthouse if you’re visiting Chiayi and want to rent an entire guesthouse.

The staff in Guan Lai were attentive and quick to respond, and the small garden is a lovely place for photos. The room was clean and the surroundings felt elegant. There are lots of entertainment facilities, so it’s great for a group to spend time together and works well for families with children.

I’m quite happy with the room and its layout. The one issue is the sliding door in the shared room: it’s faulty, hard to pull, and sometimes gets stuck.

The house is set in a residential area away from the main road, so it feels fairly quiet, romantic and safe. Inside, it’s clean and stylish, with thoughtful details throughout. The TV screen is incredibly clear and large, there’s the owner’s art collection, and the furniture, appliances and entertainment gear are all very complete. A group of adults got carried away playing the claw machine like kids, which was hilarious! 😆 It’s even better than a hotel. Highly recommend it if you’re visiting Chiayi.
