Saint Art Hotel

The night view around the temple was worth staying for. The lights on its roof decorations and pillars were breathtaking, and the scene looked very different from daytime. The hotel is about ten steps from Beigang Mazu Temple. We booked a standard room for four through the hotel website in advance, at 3,900 NTD per night. It was quite clean and quiet, and checkout was before 12.

There’s enough parking on B2, but breakfast isn’t available. The good thing is how close it is to the famous temple and old street. The hotel feels outdated, and although some rooms have been partly upgraded, ours wasn’t spotless.

The room was clean and cozy, and the service was great. We had two children, both just over one year old, and the hotel provided two cribs and a steamer for them at no extra charge. The location is convenient, close to the temple, street food, and all kinds of stores. I’d definitely come back for a night.

The location was perfect, and I liked the comfortable mattress and lovely bathtub. The rooms were okay, but the hotel looked drab from outside, as the photos show, and the front desk service was very slow. The sheets were too small for the bed. There are only rooms on the 4th floor, with nothing on higher floors, and no breakfast. Prices felt too high during the Mazu Festival.
