Fire B&B

The room was roomy, with a balcony, and even the bathroom had a window. The shower had a strong, comfortable stream, and the bed and pillows felt just right. I usually struggle to sleep in an unfamiliar bed, but slept soundly all night. The owner is ready to pick up or drop off guests if needed, and the place is near the train station. At first I thought he looked cool and tall, but he turned out to be incredibly warm and thoughtful. We forgot our map on the way to breakfast, and just as we were about to go back for it, he showed up at the breakfast shop with one. After breakfast, he also came by to check on our electric scooter. He really cares about guests’ safety and convenience.

The guesthouse’s style isn’t as trendy or themed as some newer places, but it’s clean, welcoming, and clearly cared for. It’s very good value for money. They saw we had a young child and offered us a large red bathtub. The guesthouse bicycles were in good shape, including a few with backrests suited to toddlers.

We made a last minute train trip to Chishang with our parents and found Firefighters' Love Guesthouse online. Just as we were about to get off at Chishang Station, the owner called to check on us. Such a thoughtful touch. It’s within walking distance of the station, and the rooms are comfortable, spacious, and elegant, with strong water pressure in the bathroom. The owners put a lot into running the place and provide good quality bikes, so we didn’t have to rent separately. It was easy to explore Chishang’s broad, beautiful cycling paths. The evenings were peaceful, with the Central Mountain Range in the distance and fresh valley air. It felt healing for both body and mind. I highly recommend staying here.

The owners were incredibly kind. After we’d explored, they even took us to try the famous stinky tofu nearby, and the whole stay felt like being welcomed by family. It became one of my most memorable accommodation experiences. The price was very reasonable, the service excellent, and the value for money great. A big bunch of firefighter dolls greets you at the entrance. I asked and learned that the owner is a retired firefighter, which made me feel safe. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the walls have guides to places to eat, drink, and have fun. They also provide free bikes for the nearby famous Brown Avenue. The owner was considerate, and both owners were so nice. What a wonderful place!
