Kenting Gala Vineyard

A comfortable room and free parking made this a nice place to stop for the night.

Good.

The room had a lovely street view, and the separate bathroom and toilet were a great touch. It was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with even a little sofa in the four-person room. The outdoor hot tub and balcony were wonderful, though the mountain breeze made it pretty cold and windy. We were shown where to park as soon as we arrived, and the staff helped with our bags. The parking lot is very large. At check-in, they said the fridge drinks were complimentary. I expected basic cola or soda, but there was even Heineken beer, which made my husband very happy. Everyone we met was kind and friendly, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely come back to this club!

The breakfast was a set menu, and the staff serving it were just as friendly as the person who checked us in. I’d rate the stay 90 out of 100, and I’d visit again or recommend it to friends. We picked the largest room, on the third floor. It was spotless, with a big terrace and an outdoor hot spring pool. There’s no big swimming pool or sauna like at a five-star hotel, but soaking outside while looking at the mountains was so relaxing. The resort itself has a laid-back feel, with indoor landscaping around the grounds to wander through and take photos. It’s on the main road between Hengchun and Kenting, so slow down as you get close or you might miss the entrance. The gate opens automatically as you approach, and there are plenty of parking spaces inside. I usually stay at hotels in Kenting and have tried most of their room types, so for this vacation I chose the non-hotel Kenting Grape Garden Resort to try somewhere nearer Hengchun city. 😁😁😁😁😁
