Kenting Maldives Hot Spring Hotel

After almost nine years living in Taiwan and staying in hotels in many places, this was by far the worst one I've experienced. For the price they charge, the hotel is mediocre. It looks okay from outside, but the rooms are old and need renovation. The doorknob barely works, and the locks are very old. I paid 3000 for a room with a two-person bed, but it was too small for two. They charged another 500 NT for one dog, and bigger dogs aren't allowed. That felt like extortion. The bathroom is tiny, and the exhaust fan doesn't clear the air quickly enough. The room only had two-hole sockets, so I had to borrow a 3-to-2-hole converter. They asked for a 100 NTD deposit, even though the converter costs no more than 50 NTD. For a hotel this big, they don't seem to trust guests with such a small item. Despite the high room price, they also charge 100 NTD for the hot spring, while other hotels with hot spring facilities usually don't charge extra. They provide a TV, but only a handful of mostly useless channels. They almost charged us for extra bottles of water too, which was outrageous.
