Red Garden Resort

We arrived soaked after a deluge of rain, and they upgraded us to a larger room, which helped us dry our clothes. The room was spacious and well appointed, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hotel is well placed for the bus station, beach, supermarket, and restaurants. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

The grounds are beautiful, the service was good, and breakfast was decent, but the bathroom setup made the stay uncomfortable. There’s no bathroom door, so you can see, smell, and hear your partner using it. When you’re trying to sleep, it feels like you’re in one big bathroom. I booked without researching carefully and honestly couldn’t understand how a “4-star resort” could have no bathroom door. The experience seems to depend a lot on the room, so if you book here, make sure to choose a large room on a higher floor.

The garden around the hotel is stunning, and our room had its own pond, a little courtyard, and a balcony, which was awesome. After lots of hiking, it was the perfect place to unwind for a couple of days. We loved our stay, and it was our favorite place on our recent Taiwan trip.

Room 201 had an incredible view and a private deck where we could enjoy the sun. The plants gave the place a tropical feel, and the quiet rooms felt homey and welcoming rather than like a big anonymous resort. The front desk staff were helpful and responsive over whatsapp. They rented us a moped and, after we accidentally locked the keys inside and got stranded an hour away, sent someone to unlock it for a reasonable fee.
