The superior double was comfortable, and the shower was nice too. Everything was very clean. The boss was friendly and easy to reach, and breakfast in the morning was nice. Thanks, and Happy New Year 2021.

Hengchun is easy to explore on foot and by U-Bike. In half a day, you can get around the east, west, north, and south gates. Shops closed during the day may open in the evening, though they shut once they run out of ingredients. At the guesthouse, the receptionist was kind and my room was clean, with a disinfectant smell. Breakfast was modest, just egg mochi and a steamed bun, but enough for me. I was very happy with the location, cleanliness, and staff hospitality, and would definitely stay again.

For a weekday rate of just NT$900, this was excellent value. The room was spacious and clean, and everything looked new. It had a TV, air conditioning, a small fridge, kettle, double bed, bathroom facilities, shampoo, and shower gel. There was also a convenient elevator, parking, free Wi-Fi, and a water dispenser. Breakfast was simple: homemade brown sugar steamed buns, egg pancakes, hot soy milk, and iced tea. The living room and kitchen had warm-colored decor. I drove by myself from Tainan to the National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium, and after my visit ran late, I found this highly rated guesthouse online. The owner, a Pingtung native, was friendly and chatty. He even has a tour guide's license and was happy to share local history and culture, which made the stay comfortable and enriching.
