Water Space

A handy option for a rainy day, with a huge water park, clean facilities and good water quality. Swim caps are required, so remember to bring yours, though you can buy one at the shop onsite. We brought floatation devices for our kids, which was a smart move. They could try the slides and new things with more confidence, and the slides were exciting for adults too.

We had to pay extra for towels and lockers on top of admission, which didn’t feel worth it. A lot of the facilities were closed, too. Nobody told us we needed swimming caps before we went in, so we ended up having to buy them there.

This really is an indoor water park below ground. There are two ways in. We came through the neighbouring Howard Resort, which was a bit of a project by itself, taking the elevator down to B2. From the street, look for Starbucks and the beef noodle restaurant, then use the stairs or elevator to go down. Admission was NT 250 for adults and NT 200 for my 8-year-old son, which seemed reasonable. Locker rental was NT 200, apparently split between the lockers by the men’s and women’s changerooms, and you get it back when you return the key. There were plenty of lockers, showers and changerooms. It wasn’t busy when we visited in the off season. The lazy river was fairly long, but got boring on a second go, and there were only two-person floats, no solo tubes. The slides were fun, though there didn’t seem to be many. I may have missed some. The UFO ride was either closed or unsupervised, I’m not sure, which was disappointing. The wave pool was nice to lounge in, but the waves were tiny, almost nonexistent, maybe because there weren’t many people. Boogie boards were available to use. The staff were friendly, and it’s worth visiting, but check the scheduled closing dates and daytime maintenance times. Swim caps are mandatory, and the shop sells swimwear, toys and other things.

I really wouldn’t recommend going unless you have no other option. My son got pink eye after spending a few hours there, and many facilities were closed because of poor maintenance. Children also face too many restrictions if they don’t meet the height requirements. For what we paid and what we could actually do, it was expensive.
