After a full day out, the kids were tired, but we still had to wait while someone cleaned our room before we could check in. The staff said the person handling online bookings had a broken phone and couldn't see our reservation, even though I'd booked through Booking.com in January or February for an April weekday. I couldn't help wondering if reservations could only be checked on a phone. The housekeeper didn't seem very proactive, and it felt like the role was barely needed if no one was staying. This was a terrible experience, so I had to find somewhere else to stay. I'd never run into this kind of mess online before. 😮‍💨

The rooms are roomy, clean, and have a balcony. I found it much better value than other guesthouses I've stayed at on Kenting Main Street and in Nanwan. For a weekend or holiday, the price is especially good. 👍

The front desk manager was welcoming, and his chubby build and love of hip-hop made him memorable. 🤣 There was an elevator, which made hauling our luggage easy. Regulations at the time meant cleaning supplies couldn't be provided, but after we asked, he still brought us plenty. #CleanAndHygienic

We saw online that karaoke was available, but there was none at the property. That felt like a huge deception. The kitchen was also a mess, with sugar powder on the cabinets, ants everywhere, dishes left haphazardly, and a greasy counter that hadn't been cleaned properly. We rented the whole building for 19 adults and 2 children. The original plan was for 18 people across six rooms, including the housekeeper's room, but none of the seven rooms had extra beds. We ended up using simple mattresses on the floor. In the family room, two adults and two children shared the adults' beds, with the children also sleeping on simple floor mattresses.
