After reading the newer Google reviews, I noticed they were mostly 1-star ratings. Our family will research hotels more carefully before booking next time. We always pay for our accommodation upfront, and we've used Booking.com for over 10 years without anything like this happening before. Don't make accusations you can't prove. The hotel's response is full of lies, meant to protect its reputation and cover up the scam. We called the police ourselves because staff told us to cancel our Booking.com reservation, or they wouldn't give us the room before 6 pm. Fortunately, we found another hotel nearby. Avoid this place at all costs. The receptionist and hotel manager were scammers, and the whole experience was disgraceful. Why would you make up an accusation like that? The experience was awful. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I wanted my son to have a good impression of Taiwan during his holiday there, but this hotel let us down. My wife and son arrived, and the receptionist asked them to cancel their Booking.com booking in exchange for a free room upgrade. As soon as they cancelled, the attitude changed completely and they were told the hotel was fully booked. They ended up having to find somewhere else to stay on their own. This kind of treatment reflects badly on Taiwan.
