I’m used to camping and don’t expect much, but this place still felt horrifying. I got there at 7 pm, and the owner made me put cash in a box and record a video before I could enter. Once I saw the room, I wanted to leave, but the money was already in the box and she said there were no refunds. The room was dirty and worn, with barely any outlets. There wasn’t any common or social area either, so it felt more like an illegal Airbnb than a hostel.

The owner really made the stay for me. She was kind and helpful, let me keep my bicycle inside for safety, and even offered to move me to a room without only men at no extra charge. She also shared food suggestions and made me feel welcome. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Each bed had privacy curtains and enough room to sit up, and there was one bathroom in the room plus another in the shared area. The room's air conditioning worked well. Lockers were available by the beds and in the hall, and there was a water dispenser, fridge, and microwave. Body wash and shampoo were provided, but towels weren’t. I brought my own, so I’m not sure, though I assume you can rent one. Finding the hotel can be tricky since it’s in a regular neighborhood and hard to spot on Google Maps. Go down Lane 52 section 1, take the second right, onto the street marked 16, and the building door is on the right. I’ve attached photos to help. I arrived around 3 pm and had no trouble checking in, though there’s no front desk. You need to call the owner when you arrive. If you can’t make a call as a foreigner, the door has the Wi-Fi password and the owner’s WhatsApp so you can connect and call. For later arrivals, she seems to text the check-in details. Payment is cash only.
I wouldn’t recommend it. There are 10 people in the room and just one bathroom inside it, with a very thin door, so it gets really loud. When I arrived late at night, someone was already on my bed. Check-in and checkout are self-service, with payment left in the mailbox outside. The owner has a really bad tone of voice, and 550$ for a place like this wasn’t worth it at all.
Check-in starts after 3 pm and checkout is before 11 am. You have to walk along a road under a bridge to get to the hostel, with a 7-11 nearby. They provide a hair dryer and water dispenser, and you can pay the hostel fee separately if requested.
Cozy and affordable. I had a great stay, even though I never met the owner in person. She answered all my questions within a few minutes.
