There was a bad smell throughout the hotel, black mold growing in the AC vent, and a loud humming noise coming through the walls. Mosquitoes and other pests were flying around too. It's a bad place overall, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room and beds are large, and the sound blocking is good. The two beds are joined together. Breakfast is included.

The room was clean and bug-free, which was a plus, and the staff were always courteous and helpful. Free laundry on the 10th floor was a nice touch. My complaints are about the room only. It was uncomfortably cold, and the wall thermostat was impossible to understand or control, with one of the worst interfaces I've seen in a hotel. The electrical box under the TV was exposed and messy. A huge nightlight on the wall couldn't be switched off, so I had to cover it. The lighting was either harsh and bright or off, and one ceiling light stayed on all night. I could also hear the machines or generators humming through the wall all night.

The room was amazing, with a nice design, a clean room, and a good bathroom. It even had a universal plug that worked without a travel adaptor. I arrived in Hsinchu in the morning and left my luggage there so I could explore, and the helpful staff took good care of it. This was the best hotel of all the ones I stayed at on my Taiwan trip.

The value for money is good, so I recommend it. I'm trying to stay positive, but breakfast was below average, maybe not good at all.
