The stay was comfortable, and the room had everything we needed. It was clean and nicely decorated, and the service was great. There’s no elevator, so we had to take our luggage upstairs, though the staff helped us with it at check-in. The sink also had a small leak underneath, which we let them know about.

The host was so kind and thoughtful. After we left the room, they hung our laundry up properly and brought it back in, covered, in case it rained. They also gave us really detailed tips for seeing the city. The room was super clean and nice, with care put into the little things, even though it wasn’t a luxury stay.

The free laundry was such a thoughtful extra, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I also found the beds really comfortable and everything spotless. This charming B&B in Hualien exceeded my expectations. I’d highly recommend it.

It was easy to get to lots of restaurants and shops, around a 5-15 minute walk away. We liked the morning coffee and biscuits, and the decor was lovely. The place was good value, too. We messaged the host on WhatsApp and got quick replies to our questions. I’d recommend it and would stay again.

The staff were so kind when I came back with egg all over my shirt and shorts after a scallion pancake mishap. He took my garbage right away, showed me the washer, and offered to dry my clothes. I didn’t want to give him extra work, so I declined, but he found me hangers and showed me the drying feature in the bathroom. They even let me borrow the laundry room fan. And they have a corgi. I’m definitely staying here if I come back to Hualien. The rooms are clean and well kept, and the location sits nicely between the train station and Dongdamen night market, with plenty of food nearby. This may be one of the best stays I’ve had.
