Chateau de Chine

The location is great and the service is good. Happy hour wasn't impressive, but it's a handy spot for snacks and drinks. The indoor playroom for kids was really warm, even in November. Maybe they were trying to save on electricity by not running the AC. Basic room rates are pricey, and the room has a 70s style. It was somewhat clean, but badly needs renovation. I thought there might be black mold in the bathroom.

The breakfast and brunch buffet was delicious, especially the refreshing, authentic Japanese-style cold noodles. I also loved the pool, with its crystal clear water and inflatable rings to float in on a hot day. From my room on the Jimmy floor, I could see both mountains and sea, and the view was breathtaking. I'm a student from Australia and stayed at Chateau de Chine for summer vacation. The room felt comfortable and welcoming, unlike other hotel rooms I've checked into, with beautiful art on the walls and homey decor. My stay at Chateau de Chine made my Taiwan visit a 10 out of 10. I absolutely recommend it.

This is a family-friendly hotel with lots of kids. The free shuttle to and from the train station has limited capacity and runs only a few times a day, roughly two hours apart. It fits a maximum of 7 people in a small van. The air conditioning isn't cool enough for this part of Taiw, where high humidity and temperatures are normal.

We were evacuated from the hotel during the earthquake, and the staff took such great care of us through a frightening time. They gave us food, guided us to safe areas, brought chairs and water, and even came with us to our floors so we could collect our things. They treated us like family, and we're so grateful.
