I stayed there in December 2023. It was spacious and a great budget-friendly place.

The beds were comfortable, and the location was good, but that’s about where the positives ended for me. It’s an old hotel, and although the room looked clean, it smelled of cigarettes. I couldn’t find any no-smoking signs, and nobody at reception spoke much English. I skipped breakfast after hearing from others in my group that it was very bad.

Getting to DongDaMen Night Market takes about a 15-minute walk, though there’s a Family Mart and a 7-Eleven nearby. The room itself was clean and roomy, with toiletries, towels, a hair dryer, and bottled drinks provided. Breakfast had a tasty buffet with plenty to choose from, including halal options for Muslims and vegetarian food and cutlery.

It’s an older place, but everything was clean and tidy. I didn’t feel like I was staying in a cheap hotel, even though I didn’t pay much.

Fine for budget travel, but it got pretty boring. The room was clean, though noise from outside and other rooms came through.
