Love Hualien Hostel

It’s a great deal for the price, and we’ll definitely stay here again. Our room was big and very clean, and the staff were so nice and accommodating, especially the server in the restaurant. The hotel is about six minutes from the station. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Right in central Hualien, this is a decent business hotel and worked well for a one-night stop. There aren’t many places to eat nearby, so you’ll need to drive out. We had a good stay overall.

The hotel is undergoing renovation. The room was decent, clean, and didn’t smell bad. The front desk member who checked us in was fairly friendly, and check-in speed was reasonable. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and professional.

We felt disgusted by the manager and staff after this experience, and we’ll never come back. My child tripped over the Christmas light decorations at the entrance a few days after Christmas. They said he had broken the fragile lights, and the manager started shouting, “Pay, pay, pay.” I was shocked by how unprofessional it was and felt like we were caught in a horror scam. We asked them to plug the lights back in, and they came on, with only a few bulbs out among what looked like 500-1000 lights. It’s a shame, because the hotel seemed nice, but the treatment was so unwelcoming. This isn’t a real hot spring, either. Avoid it, it’s not worth ruining your vacation.
