Hope Sea Bed and Breakfast

Being close to Dongdamen was a real plus, just a 10-minute walk, so we could enjoy a good meal without worrying about parking and then walk it off. The whole guesthouse was spotless, and the rooms were very comfortable, which showed how much care the manager put in. A comfortable place to stay added to the wonderful memories we made in Hualien, alongside the mountains, sea and scenery.

The guesthouse is near Songyuan Villa and Meilun Track and Field, and less than a five-minute walk from Doloman Whale and Dolphin Watching Company. The area has partnerships with boating operators. It’s on Minde 4th Street in Hualien City, with Shangmeilun and Yashidu Hotel as the closest bus stops. There are many hotels and guesthouses nearby, so competition is high. You can book through online booking apps. There’s no elevator, which is inconvenient with large luggage. Breakfast is served on the first floor, but the price depends on whether it’s included in your booking. The bathroom doesn’t have a separate shower and toilet. Water supply is steady, internet signal is good, and cards are accepted. ATMs are available at a nearby post office and convenience store, though if an ATM malfunctions... A room at the back looks onto the fire lane, which might not suit every visitor, even when the guesthouse is fully booked. The landlady is friendly.
