The host was really nice, and the room had plenty of space.

It's about a five-minute walk from the train station, which suited me since I travel by train and on foot. The room was very clean and had a clothes rack. There's a water dispenser but no refrigerator, and restaurants, shops, and scooter rentals are right outside, so it's very convenient.

The cleanliness is every bit as good as a hotel, and the station is extremely close. You can easily rent a vehicle nearby, and the convenience store is only 30 meters away. The hostess took the time to explain how to use the government's subsidy program and even asked if I'd like help arranging a car for the next day. Really thoughtful service.

Of all the guesthouses we've stayed in, this was the best. It was spotless and comfortable, with a warm, inviting feel, and the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. We'll definitely come back when we're in Hualien.
