The host was so friendly and quickly sorted out the issues with our Booking.com reservation. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We had a relaxing stay that felt like being at home. The Switch was a lot of fun, we stayed up playing and didn't want to sleep! I'd happily stay here again next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend.

I can see flies already buzzing around. When was the rubbish left after the August 27 checkout actually cleared? The issue isn't whether you clean, it's when. Are the cigarette butts picked up as soon as guests leave, or left there for a week until the next weekend's guests arrive? Could you put an ashtray in the yard so people know where to put their butts instead of leaving them on the ground to blow around? Do I need to collect photos and upload them? I've often picked up the many cigarette butts outside your door myself. When I see guests smoking, I give them plastic bags and ask them not to litter. We're trying to help as neighbors and keep the area clean and hygienic. I hope you understand. Please empty the yard bins as soon as guests check out, rather than leaving them for days. In summer, that can attract disease-carrying pests, and rubbish brings flies into nearby homes. We want a clean environment for the people who actually live here. On August 25, 2025, your guests again left cigarette butts all over the ground outside the door. Please clear them when you come to clean, so the neighbors aren't disturbed. Dozens of guesthouses nearby don't have this problem. I can only give two stars for neighborly relations. I'll leave one star for now and keep watching to see whether the cleaning happens right after checkout or only days later, once the flies have bred.

We stayed twice, and I recommended the place to friends. They all liked it too. Getting around is easy because it's close to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable, and I especially liked having a sofa and a little refrigerator in there. The first-floor living room has a huge TV, a mahjong table, board games, and a Switch. There's also a fridge in the kitchen. The owner was very friendly.

The owner's wife was friendly, but the condition of everything else needs serious improvement. We were looking forward to spending Lunar New Year in Hualien, and had asked in advance about cookware. When we arrived, the mess was shocking. My family immediately said we should buy new items, even though they would've cost enough to order a whole table of food. The microwave, dishes, and cleaning supplies were filthy and moldy. I couldn't believe they were left for guests to use. The bathroom shower wouldn't stay in its holder and kept spinning, and the water alternated between hot and cold. The TV was completely broken. The owner's wife came to look at it, but it stopped working again shortly afterward. I was speechless. I'd rather have stayed home, especially since I couldn't even watch a Lunar New Year show.
