Romantic B&B

Hualien was our favorite city, and this was our favorite place to stay in Taiwan. The room was very clean, and there’s an elevator. The host was amazing, offering us food and drinks, suggesting things to do during a typhoon, and driving us places. We liked it so much that we extended our stay.

Breakfast was included, and the host made the place feel like home. She was super nice and even saved two rice dumplings for us for the Dragon Boat Festival last night. The station, Hualien Train Station, is only a 5-7 minute walk away.

The owner came to meet us at the train station and drove us to her home. We were welcomed with biscuits, and slippers were provided. The bedroom was quite big. Breakfast was milk tea with a hamburger and French fries. One downside was that the sheet smelled damp, though I think that might be because Hualien is so humid.

The guesthouse is only about a five-minute walk from the station, which made getting around really easy. Our room was spacious, tidy, and clean, with a bed and pillows that were just right for lying down. The kids especially loved falling asleep under the twinkling starry-sky ceiling. The landlady was so friendly and warm with the children. She even gave us cookies when she saw we had kids, which was adorable. Her smile and thoughtful service made the stay feel lovely. Great for families with children or anyone hoping to relax, and we’ll remember it fondly.
