The hostess was helpful and nice, and we found the price very reasonable for a place without breakfast. We checked in on 227th, and the room cost no more than 2200. The room for four was on the second floor, with a balcony looking toward the Hualien Central Mountain Range. It was clean and had no odor, the shower was excellent, and free mineral water was provided. With the windows shut, it was quiet at night despite being beside the road. We booked three days before the 228 holiday and checked in on February 27th; it felt like a 99-point stay. On the ground floor, the bright, spacious common room had large comfy sofas and seasonal fruit for guests, and the hostess welcomed people there. Several bikes by the entrance were free to borrow. We got there around 5:00 PM and rode to the beach. The B&B is about a 6-7 minute drive from the city center, with parking at the park across the road. A FamilyMart is opposite, and there are two breakfast shops nearby. We chose Purple City Burger and enjoyed it.

The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the restaurant had what you'd expect, including free bottled water and drinks. Bicycles were available too. With a FamilyMart across the street, it was easy to pick up little things late at night, and the location also worked well for a business trip. The landlady was very welcoming, and I thought the value was excellent.

Whenever our family of four visits Hualien, we stay at Meilun Travelogue B&B. The landlady is really friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and Meilun Market is close. Highly recommended!

I keep choosing Meilun Travelogue when I visit Hualien. The owner is warm and welcoming, and the clean rooms and spacious bathroom make it a good-value guesthouse.

The air conditioning was nice and cool, and the place was clean and quiet. Having a convenience store across the street was handy. The room lighting was quite yellow, but for a thousand-dollar guesthouse the value is good. I'd come back if I'm in the area.
