Zheng Da Homestay

Transportation is convenient, and I loved how large and bright the room and bathroom were. When you open the door, there’s a pleasant wood scent. There’s a bookstore downstairs where guests get an extra discount on books, a stationery shop on the second floor, and a convenience store and Subway on the first. A highly recommended place to stay.

The location made things easy, whether we wanted to hang around the guesthouse or head out. McDonald's, Cosmed, FamilyMart, and Prince Squid Soup are nearby. The soup was super delicious at NT$65 a bowl, and well worth it. Dongdaemun Night Market, clothing stores including Nike and Adidas, and bikes provided by the guesthouse are close at hand. Breakfast is arranged with MOS BUGER & SUBWAY, both good and very close. The room was incredibly spacious and clean, with a huge bathroom and jacuzzi. The bed might not suit you if you prefer a firmer one. Soundproofing in the room was okay, though conversations from other floors carried into the hallway. Remember to contact the owner before arrival, or you won’t be able to enter the accommodation area above the 9x9 stationery store and National Chengchi University Bookstore. I was extremely satisfied and will definitely come back!!

For my four-day, three-night business trip to Hualien, this place was a great choice. The room was twice the size of the hotel I’d stayed at on previous business trips, which really lifted my mood. It felt cozy, with books and the scent of natural cypress wood, and the owner had made the room feel like home. The receptionist was friendly and attentive, and there was a varied breakfast selection. They even gave me vouchers for ice cream and coffee at the FamilyMart downstairs. I’ll stay here again on my next work trip.

The spacious room made it easy to relax, and the large parking lot right across the street was very convenient. Great value for money.
