The worst. This was the dirtiest place I've ever stayed.

My room was the balcony extension on the fourth floor. The light inside was a little dim, and a rug covered broken tiles at the entrance. There was rug throughout the room too, and its color looked pretty unclean. The towels in the bathroom were in similar shades, but looked old and unevenly colored. The blanket I used smelled unpleasant... 😫😫😫

The phone booking and follow-up service from Fang Yi B&B were really good. A week before my reservation, though, the owner called to explain that a neighbor had a funeral and was concerned it might affect our mood on the trip. She refunded the deposit in full. I never stayed there, but that kind of service deserves five stars. If I get to Hualien, I'll definitely stay there.

For a holiday stretch, 1800 for a six-person room is really cheap. There’s a market and breakfast shop nearby, which is convenient. The bathroom is very narrow, though, and climbing four floors gets tiring.
