We came with several families for the very start of winter break, and the owners did a wonderful job accommodating our large group. Even with extremely rainy weather during our stay, we had a great time and would definitely stay again when we return to Hualien. The property is beautiful, with spacious rooms and gracious service. We held a private dinner in the common area, used the KTV room, and enjoyed the large shared space in front of the main building.
I booked ahead to visit friends in Hualien over Lunar New Year and stayed at Blue Ocean B&B again. The duplex room was cozy and nicely decorated, with a friendly, lovely feel that reminded me of the host. Green plants and lawns surrounded the room, showing how much care the host puts into the place. Morning sunlight came in beautifully, and the view just outside the door was lovely. It’s also close to the city center and night markets. Awesome!

The owner was friendly, the surroundings were beautiful, and breakfast was both delicious and plentiful!
It’s a relaxing, comfortable guesthouse, and the husband-and-wife owners are very friendly. The location right by the Hualien River estuary is great for an early morning run with the mountains and sea around you. The bed is a little short for me, though, my legs stick out because I’m too tall.
